Paris

The prospect of riding
into Paris was somewhat
daunting for me.
I don't usually like riding
in large, crowded cities.
I stopped here to ask a
fellow biker for directions.

The Place de la Republic.
I stayed at the youth
hostel here. This is the
roundabout with about
6 lanes of traffic going
off in about 6 different
directions.

Notre Dame cathedral
and the Seine.

I decided to go on a
sightseeing cruise.

The Eiffel Tower.
When the Paris Expo
was over, they nearly
pulled the tower down.
Lucky they decided to
keep it.

The Louvre.
Formerly a palace.

A police blitz on
scooter riders.
I should think so too!
Parisian scooter riders
are crazy!

I was in St. Michel and
there was a commotion
and police making their
way down to the river.
Someone reported a
body in the Seine.
It turned out to be a balloon.

Idiots !

The Art Nouveau Metro
station in St. Michel.
The place was full of
bloody tourists !

Basilique du Sacre
Coeur de Montmatre
.

Parking my bike
was usually easy
in Paris. Here I am
near Notre Dame.
