The homeless guy
sitting on the step
was smoking a bong!
What on earth is
that, I hear you say?
Why, it's a mechanical
elephant, of course.
Nantes is famous for
the Machines de l'Ile.
You can ride on it
if you so desire.
The elephant goes for
a walk each day along
the river and into town.
It's 12 metres high.
They have other
strange creatures
on display.
An angler fish.
A giant squid.
A killer prawn?
These things all
move and you
can ride them.
