Back in France

On the road again
on a beautiful sunny
day in France.

Montreuil is a charming
little town south of
Boulogne sur Mer.
I spent my last night
here before going to
Calais and then back
to England.

The town goes back
to Roman times.
The ramparts were
built about the 9th
century.
Here we see an ancient
tennis court.

Part of the ramparts.
Victor Hugo used Montreuil
as the setting for his
novel 'Les Miserables'.
