Annecy

A beautiful city on
Lake Annecy just
south of Geneva.








You can hire one of
these nice replica
speed boats and go
for a spin on the lake.

The city has many
canalside bars and
cafes where you can
watch the passing
parade.








This was apparently
a medieval prison.









I wanted to stay at
the youth hostel
here, but it was full.
I was lucky to find
a hotel near the park
for 70 Euros.





I arrived here in the
middle of the Annecy
animated film festival.
It rained just before
a rock concert was
about to start and
they cancelled it.
The concert, that is.
