The site of the Battle of Hastings

at a town named Battle.
This is the hillside where it all
started in 1066.
The abbey and trees weren't
there at the time.
The English army was
massed on the hill, with
the Normans below.

The abbey was built by the

Norman victors, who felt

guilty I guess for all the

bloodshed.
